From Crisis to Confidence
They haven’t failed school — school failed to see them.
At SGE, we work with young people aged 14 to 25, typically starting in Year 11, transitioning to post-16, who:
-
Are not engaging in mainstream education
-
Have experienced trauma, exclusion, or anxiety
-
Are at risk due to their behaviours or those around them
-
Hold an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
We offer a safe, structured, aspirational digital learning environment where students are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Hooked by What They Love
We don’t just engage their interests, we build futures from them.
Many SGE students arrive with a passion for gaming or technology.
We use that as a bridge into education by:
-
Leveraging their passion into hands-on digital skills
-
Moving them from passive digital consumers to active digital creators
-
Immersing them in a community of like-minded learners where they are celebrated
Our approach makes learning feel fun, safe, and relevant — and that changes everything.

From Learners to Earners
With appropriate support, they don’t just catch up, they fly.
In our trauma-informed, SEN-aware classrooms, students:
-
Gain emotional intelligence, digital fluency, and social confidence
-
Build friendships, routines, and peer support in a way that feels natural
-
Work toward industry certifications and a path of progression into employment
-
Prepare for the digital workplace in a safe and nurturing environment
This isn’t a compromise. It’s education, reimagined for success.
