Digital Skills
Education Services

At Simply Great Education, we support young people who need something different from mainstream education. Different pace. Different structure. Different expectations.

But never lower ambition.

We offer three core services to support young people with or without an EHCP, each designed around safety, structure, curiosity, and progression into the digital world.

In-Person Alternative Provision

Our in-person Alternative Provision supports young people aged 14–25 who are unable to thrive in mainstream education. Delivered in small groups at our specialist centre in Newton Abbot, Devon, this provision offers structured, calm, face-to-face learning focused on applied digital skills such as game development, cybersecurity, creative digital arts, and computer science. With experienced staff, consistent routines, and strong pastoral support, we help all learners with an EHCP rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and progress toward meaningful next steps.

Online Alternative Provision

Our Online Alternative Provision delivers the same structured, specialist SGE approach—live and online. Designed for young people who cannot attend in person, this service provides real-time teaching, small supported groups, and clear timetables, ensuring learners with EHCPs remain actively engaged rather than left to self-direct. It is ideal for local-authority placements, EOTAS packages, or learners needing a flexible but fully supported alternative to mainstream education.

Supported Home Learning Service

Our Supported Home Learning Service offers flexible digital learning for home-educated learners and families seeking structured support without full-time provision. Our students follow guided digital learning pathways and have access to live tutorial sessions, delivered one-to-one or in small groups. This service combines independence with expert support, helping learners stay motivated, overcome challenges, and develop real digital skills at their own pace.
