Simply Great Education is an SEN provision aimed at young people with a passion for computers, technology, gaming and digital creativity. We offer vocational and academic pathways and maintain a calm educational environment where students engage at their own pace. The bespoke package for each student is tailored to individual levels of engagement, making the learning experience positive and assisting in building learner confidence and capability.
Learning independent skills
We offer varying levels of support and work with students to allow and encourage them to become independent in their learning as they develop their skills. This can range from supporting 1 to 1 with guided learning, to project work that allows them to progress at their own pace with support available if they need it.
Social skills and self-esteem.
Most of our activities are group based, or if individual, able to be shared and discussed with the rest of the room, enabling student interaction with peers.
Learners can discover the activities of others and find new interests,while assisting each other when help is asked for. Discussions and group activities are mediated to ensure that there is always a positive outcome with a focus on reasonable tolerance of other opinions and perspectives, encouraging social acceptance.
Core Provision
We are passionate about the technology education and believe all our young people need to be digitally literate to face the opportunities and challenges the near future of employment holds. It is our vision to keep expanding what we offer to fill in the shortfall in traditional education and keep providing recourses to better prepare the young people of today into the bright minds of tomorrow.

What will my young person learn with you? We offer a range of academic and vocational pathways all centred around the concepts of computer science. With us, learners will have opportunity to learn: Coding skills Web design skills Digital art both 2D and 3D NCFE Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications Unity Certification Game design Digital entrepreneurship and more. How do you support social, emotional and mental health needs? We maintain a safe, stable, and inclusive environment, where learners can expect to follow a structure that works for them, while able to be shared with their peers. The learning environment has been adapted to mitigate the risks and severity of behavioural outbursts through upholding and maintaining a calm space where students engage at their own speed. We take a pastoral approach, working through situations with the learner and helping them identify strategies to manage stressful situations and develop their own mechanisms of self-regulation.
How do we access your provision? If your young person has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) issued by the local authority, then you could get direct funding as part of your young person educational package. Get in touch with your SEN casework office if Torbay or a member of the 0-25 Team if under Devon County Council and request Simply Great Media be consulted.
