Making the transition from Education into a job or career is a scary time for our students. The madness of it all is that they are all entirely suited to a future career in the digital sector but getting from here to there is difficult. Not only is there a vast choice of topics in the digital sector but they also don’t know how to get past the revolving door between today and the future.
We are delighted to announce a brand new Careers Pathway program for all of our students. We will be mentoring our students to give them a ‘tasting menu’ of career pathways, projects to explore the skills required for each of their menu choices and reaching out to companies to get some experience in those areas.
Once we have decided on a pathway (or multiple) we will be working towards certifications that support those pathways. We are absolutely delighted to have teamed up with CompTIA as an Academic Partner to be able to deliver industry recognised certifications which students can develop as they gain more experience and skills.
Starting with gateway certifications to explore the Fundamentals all the way up to expert certifications required to manage a range of digital technologies. Examples of career pathways and skills are:
IT Service Management: IT fundamentals progressing to Network or Cloud specialisms
Cyber Security: IT fundamentals progressing to Linux Operating systems, penetration testing and beyond.
Data and AI: IT fundamentals progressing to data systems and data science
Each course has relatable and specific skills - all tailored to a pathway
which opens up the doors to a future career supported by a certification that industry will recognise
